Members of the EFA Delegation together with EuFoA leadership laid flowers at the memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims
Following the invitation of the political leadership of the Artsakh Democratic Party made during the 12th General Assembly of the European Free Alliance (EFA) earlier this year (14-15 February 2014, Santiago de Compostela of Spain), an EFA Delegation paid a visit to Armenia and the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh on 20-24 June 2014.

On June 20, the EFA Delegation members Dr Inaki Irazabalbeitia, Ms Eva Bidania and Mr Miguel Martinez Tomey, accompanied by EuFoA Director Eduardo Lorenzo Ochoa and the Armenian office leadership paid a visit to Tsitsernakaberd, Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide 1915. They put flowers in the memory of the millions of victims at the Eternal Fire and attended the Genocide Museum Temporary Exhibition as the main hall of the Museum is currently under construction ahead of the preparation of the 100th Anniversary Commemorations. The delegates got acquainted with various and unique pieces of survived samples of Armenian literature and documentaries representing the Armenian Genocide history. On the same day they left for NK to participate at the Annual Congress of Artsakh Democratic Party.
The European Free Alliance is a European political organization gathering different European parties striving for sovereignty or self-government for their respective region or country. The Alliance is a strong supporter of the right of self-determination and advocates the right of people to decide their own future.
