Conference ‘European Union & Armenia: Relations and the Way Ahead’ – 31 May 2017, Yerevan
EuFoA Director, Diogo Pinto, will be speaking at the conference ‘European Union & Armenia: Relations and the Way Ahead’, which will take place on 31 May in Yerevan, Armenia. The conference, organised by the Analytical Centre on Globalisation and Regional Cooperation (ACGR), with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in South Caucasus, will focus on the dynamics of EU-Armenia Cooperation as well as the developments of the Eastern European Partnership Program and the Priorities of Estonian Presidency of the EU Council to Armenian society.
The event will gather officials from the EU and Armenia to debate on the current state of play between EU and Armenia and on the future prospects and challenges of EU-Armenia relations. Divided in three panels, the conference will cover the following topics:
- The Eastern Partnership Program as a Part of EU Foreign Policy and the Importance of the Eastern Partnership in the Priorities of the Estonian Presidency of the EU Council
- EU-Armenia from Visa Facilitation to New EU-Armenia Agreement (CEPA – Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement)
- The Economic, Trade, Education and Cultural Components of the future EU-Armenia Legal Basis
