First Nagorno-Karabakh Group announced in the European Parliament
On 15 October 2014, the European Parliament Nagorno-Karabakh Group was presented with the assistance of European Friends of Armenia (EuFoA), aiming to support civil society and democratic governance, as well as European values within Nagorno-Karabakh. Following the French and Lithuanian parliaments that have already established similar groups, members of the European Parliament are creating the first international group, spanning over national borders.Published on Thursday 16 October 2014 -

European Parliament: No further relations with Azerbaijan and sanctions unless European human rights standards are met
On Thursday, 18 September, the European Parliament adopted a motion on the persecution of human rights defenders in Azerbaijan.Many points of the motion are directly relevant to Armenia, as well as to the imprisonment of Azerbaijani human rights activist Leyla Yunus earlier this year in July and partly because of dubious charges of spying for Armenia, causing international outcry.

Breakthrough in Karabakh-Basque relations
The Nagorno-Karabakh Foreign Minister, Karen Mirzoyan, together with European Friends of Armenia's Director Eduardo Lorenzo Ochoa, completed a one-week mission to the Basque Country this week.The visit, scheduled between September 10 and September 16, included meetings with Basque high officials, including the President of the Basque Parliament, Ms. Bakartxo Tejeria Otermin and other leaders, both at provincial and local level.
