Communications and Media Engagement Officer, BRUSSELS
We are now looking to grow our team with a Communications and Media Engagement Officer to support our communication efforts and relations with the media.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Communications Strategy
- Review, update and further develop the website, and manage social media accounts
- Manage blogs and newsletters
- Draft press releases and other materials useful for journalists
- Produce and publish info-graphics and short videos
- Develop and manage contacts with European media outlets and journalists
- Organise study trips for journalists to Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh
- Support the planning and implementation of policy events and advocacy campaigns
Skills and competences required:
- Degree, preferably postgraduate, in a relevant field
- 5 to 8 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in a similar position
- Experience as a journalist, in broadcasting and/or video production are strong pluses
- Proven networking experience in a multi-national environment
- Knowledge of culture and history of South Caucasus, particularly of Armenia
- Knowledge of EU structures and decision-making processes
- Excellent command of English; knowledge of other European languages is a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to publish text and audio-visual content
- Ability to work in a multi-national environment and to accommodate cultural diversities
- Ability to work under pressure, to take initiatives and to manage time and capacities efficiently
- Readiness to embrace EuFoA's causes, with passion and dedication
- Solid IT skills, especially MS Office, but also publishing tools
